When you grow up in Southern California, it truly takes a lot to wow us Cali-Kids. I grew up in a town where I could literally drive my car to the mountains, the valley, the beaches, the desert and the city knowing that each of these locations would never max out over a 60 min car ride. Well as long as you don’t play with traffic. That’s pretty rad when you stop and think about it. So when you hear about places like Big Sur you think well why would I drive close to six hours on a windy road when I get car sick. And so that is why it took me exactly thirty-three years to make it all the way up to Big Sur, Carmel, Monterey, & Santa Cruz being our last stop till we said adios to Highway 1. Not Bad. Right? It was worth it! Non Stop beauty on Highway 1.
Looking back on the trip I would do it again, but maybe backward. It would be sweet to fly up north and cruise down the coast for a change up. I don’t know just a thought. Okay, thanks for reading along.
Next Stop Carmel & Monterey!
P.S. To my family who’s been asking about my travel section on the blog, please be patient with my posts. This two-week trip has me swamped with edits, and behind on work outside of the blog! Wink-Wink.
